Here is a step by step plan of how to jet wash your windows, making a difficult task simple. Please note, never use a ladder - in the case of a two floor building use a second-floor nozzle kit on a telescoping extension tool.
Step 1) Review the window frame materials - if they are aluminium or vinyl this will be fine. However wood framed windows will require more attention to detail. Check the glazing between the frame and the glass.
Make sure that it is solid, check that the caulking around the frame is intact to avoid excess water penetrating into the structure.
Step 2) Remove debris - Use a 40 degree nozzle to wash down the windows to remove any loose debris, insects and any spider webs keeping the nozzle three feet away from the glass in a downward direction.
Step 3) Add soap/detergent - Use a detergent that is safe to use on windows. Using a low pressure nozzle, apply the soap to the windows. Only apply it to a few windows at a time to prevent it drying out.
Step 4) Rinse away the soap, switch to the original nozzle and clean as previously done on step two. Clean all the sills and wipe any dirt away!
